Best Bros

Sam just turned 9 a few weeks ago.  He loves his brothers.  No one is excluded in this family.  If one is doing something, he wants the others to join him.  "The more, the merrier" is the daily theme around here, which is a good thing, because we tend to have "more" available.  They love each other with an aggressive, wild, and loud love.

Sugar rush

So yesterday I was enjoying a rare moment with the twins, just us, reading books about colors and numbers - they enjoyed doing their own version of "school" for awhile - and then I looked at the clock and noticed it was almost 1:30 and we still hadn't had lunch.  I said, half-jokingly, "I need to make lunch or I'm gonna pass out!"
Sam decided to create a teachable moment for Noah.  "Noah, if you were here with just Mama by yourself, and she passed out, what would you do?"
"Eat candy!" Noah beamed.

This is why it's so important to have an emergency stash of smarties and gummy worms.  Because you just never know.

Heavenly time

We had a recent Safe Families placement that lasted for a few weeks.  This is Heavenly.  She's 21 months and very easy-going.  It was delightful to have a little girl in the house for a while, and the boys really enjoyed her.
