My Daughter,
Mercy Praise,
born June 10
As predicted, she was pretty big. 2 weeks early, she weighed 9'1. 21 3/4". Love her chubby cheeks!
Her adoring brothers, along with Great-grandma, who kept insisting all along that she was a girl.
When we told the boys they had a baby SISTER, Noah was the one who jumped up and down yelling, "Yes! Yes! I KNEW IT!" He especially wanted her to be a girl.
Mercy Praise
The tail end of a full-blown grin - at 2 days old in the hospital.
Mercy had to spend 24 hours in the NICU due to hypoglycemia, so we were in the hospital for an extra day.
Dad, Mom, Daughter!
The boys are still saying, "I can't believe she's a GIRL!"
A special surprise!

I always forget how much newborns sleep! During ultrasounds, she frequently had her arms up by her face like this.
Nine years difference doesn't affect this love.
"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
Mercy - her name will be a daily reminder for our family that His mercies are new every morning.
According to Webster, mercy is defined as "a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion" and "compassionate treatment of those in distress." This also is so fitting. I love my boys but Mercy will certainly add a new flavor (aura, spirit, smell) to our home.
We love you, Mercy Praise!
