We laugh. We joke. We scoff. We rebuke. The doomsday prophet was wrong, it turns out, and as some actually counted down the minutes on Facebook and some posted mockeries of the "prophecy", we came to the end of another fairly ordinary day.
But you know what? I would have loved it if he'd been right! How great it would have been to spend this Lord's Day with Jesus!
May we always live in the moment of readiness and anticipation that yesterday brought to some, and may we eagerly await the moment of our Saviour's return!
"You must also be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
