In Us We Trust

Be patient with other drivers.
Smile at the checker.
Help an older person.
Pick up and dispose of trash.
Smile and laugh more.
Have a kind word for the waitress.
Be considerate of those around you.
Mow a neighbor's yard.
Conserve your water.
Enjoy life.

There is a growing trend in our culture. And it's dangerous. Reading through the above list, "danger" probably isn't the first thing to come to your mind.

Have you seen the billboards? The videos? The promos? The taglines? They're everywhere. Promoting a caring, loving, helping lifestyle.

Isn't that wonderful? America is getting better. Reaching out to serve and love and help.

DANGER!!

"They" want you to LEAVE GOD OUT OF IT!!!

Or else you could be labeled as "one of those" fanatical, radical, evangelical, exclusive, ultra-conservative, etc. etc. etc.

This is the way of our nation.

We will be talked down, trodden on, persecuted for telling others that even though these attributes are good and commendable, they mean nothing without Jesus.

They mean nothing without Jesus!

No, it's not good enough. It may make you feel better, even okay with life. It may make a radical difference in your outlook on life. But it's meaningless without Jesus. And He's still the only way.

Can you see where this is going? Because if we want to hold to the TRUTH, we cannot soften that message. Because we cannot speak well of these attributes and leave Him out of it. God is love.

Jesus will now be rejected in favor of worshipping the characteristics He represents.

Peace.

Love.

Helping.

Giving.

But sorry, no God.

This is the religion of our age. Put on His armour, brothers and sisters.
